💨 Abstract
In Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, a five-year-old tiger was allegedly killed by poachers who stole its nails in the Kumaon region. The tiger was found dead on January 8, with nails missing from two paws. The forest department suspects poisoning by professional hunters and is conducting DNA testing on viscera samples. The state's Forest Minister has taken strict action and directed increased forest surveillance.
