The Supreme Court will hear pleas seeking a court-monitored probe into allegations of using animal fat in making Tirupati laddus on October 3. The Solicitor General Tushar Mehta requested the court to take up the case at 10.30 am on Friday. The court had earlier asked Mehta to assist in deciding whether the investigation by the state-appointed SIT should continue or be conducted by an independent agency.
