A Trinamool Congress leader, Ashok Shaw, was shot dead by unidentified miscreants in Kolkata's Jagatdal area, North 24 Parganas district. The incident occurred while Shaw was standing near a tea stall, and he was shot multiple times along with bomb hurling. The police have started an investigation and haven't found any political connection yet. The incident sparked a protest from locals.
