On January 22, the Karnataka Express collided with at least 12 passengers in Maharashtra's Jalgaon district. According to railway officials, a track curvature affected the visibility of the Karnataka Express, causing the accident. The passengers of a separate train, Lucknow-CSMT Pushpak Express, had gotten down on the tracks due to a fire rumor, resulting in 15 injuries.
