On Jan 15, a large rock was placed on the Bareilly-Pilibhit line tracks near Bijauria railway station, allegedly to derail a passenger train. The train, no. 75302, hit the rock and broke into two pieces, causing a bent rail guard but no injuries. An FIR was lodged and a case registered under Section 150 of the Railways Act.
