Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath claimed that tribal people did not have the right to vote before the BJP came to power in the state and were "brainwashed" by leftists and missionaries. He said that after the BJP government, facilities were provided to tribes, and many voted for the first time in the 2022 and 2024 elections.
