The Tripura government aims to expand organic farming to 6,500 hectares by 2026-27, up from the current 18,161 hectares. Over 17,000 farmers are already practicing organic farming, with an increase in the number of organic farmers from 2,504 in 2017 to 17,412 in 2023.
