💨 Abstract

The Tripura Tribal Welfare department plans to implement a biometric attendance system in all government-run tribal hostels to monitor student attendance and prevent malpractice. The department runs 164 hostels and spends Rs 80 crore annually on them. The biometric system will be introduced in hostels under direct control of the department, followed by TTAADC and NGO-run hostels in a second phase.
