In Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, two residents, Ishhaq Madni and Mohammed Asif Khan, were booked for allegedly desecrating the Indian flag by replacing the Ashok Chakra with Islamic inscriptions. The incident occurred at Gomti Square in Govindgarh town. A case was registered under the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act on a complaint from Yuva Ekta Parishad.
