💨 Abstract
On Oct 13, two coaches of an empty local train derailed while entering a car shed from Mumbai Central, causing disruption on the Western Railway. The incident affected suburban services, with at least 60 services cancelled and many others delayed. The coaches were re-railed and services restored after three-and-a-half hours. The derailment was not an isolated incident, with similar occurrences reported over the past two decades.
