💨 Abstract

Two individuals were arrested by the Narcotics Intelligence Bureau in Chennai for attempting to smuggle 75 kg of cannabis, a banned substance. Ponnankan, one of the suspects, received a 12-year prison sentence and a fine of INR 1 lakh after a case was filed under the NDPS Act. The Enforcement Bureau and Crime Investigation Department commended the investigation team for their effective work.
