Two foreign mountaineers, Michelle Theresa Dvorak from the USA and Fav Jane Manners from the UK, were stranded at a height of 6,015 meters while climbing Chaukhamba III peak in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district. They were stranded since October 3. On Sunday, they were successfully rescued by Indian Air Force helicopters and State Disaster Response Force personnel.
