In Surat, two women died of asphyxiation due to a fire at a spa on November 6. The fire, which appeared to be caused by a short circuit, broke out in a spa center on the third floor of Shiv Puja Complex. Five women were inside at the time, and three managed to escape. The deceased were identified as Amita (25) and Alisha (27).
