💨 Abstract

BJP leader Lakhpat Singh Bhandari has been booked in Pauri, Uttarakhand for allegedly making objectionable remarks about 'love jihad', which are perceived as inciting communal tension. The police registered a case against him for disrupting peace and harmony. BJP distanced itself from the comments, but expressed opposition to efforts to create discord using 'love jihad' and 'land jihad'.
