The Uttarakhand High Court has directed the Mussoorie-Dehradun Development Authority vice-chairman to clarify the status of illegal constructions in Rishikesh. The court heard a petition alleging continued construction beyond approved maps, despite prohibition orders, and the compounding of these constructions after complaints. The court has stayed the constructions and asked for an affidavit on the compounding, with the next hearing scheduled for April 16.
