The Uttar Pradesh government suspended Bareilly's Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Krishna Chandra for demanding bribes in an anganwadi worker recruitment case. An investigation confirmed Chandra's involvement, with video evidence supporting the allegations. He was accused of demanding Rs 1.65 lakh from an applicant but accepting a higher bribe from another candidate, despite the original applicant having better marks and BPL status.
