The Uttar Pradesh government has approved the creation of an independent Prosecution Directorate, aligning with the Indian Civil Defence Code 2023. The directorate aims to ensure impartial prosecution and will be led by a Director of Prosecution with at least 15 years of experience. Each district will have its own directorate, and funding will be allocated for its effective functioning.
