💨 Abstract

The Uttar Pradesh government has announced plans to extend old-age home facilities to transgender individuals aged 60 and above. These facilities will offer shelter, pension, healthcare, mental health counseling, and more, aiming to provide a dignified and secure life for this community. The government has also established Transgender Protection Cells in every district for safety and quick resolution of issues, and has set up a state-level Transgender Protection Cell for policy formulation and monitoring.
