💨 Abstract

The High Court Bar Association of Prayagraj has sought the transfer of a judge from the Allahabad High Court after she referred a case to the chief justice for initiating criminal contempt proceedings against a senior advocate, Satish Chandra Mishra. The bar association claims that Mishra's conduct did not lower the dignity of the court, and has demanded Justice Sangeeta Chandra's transfer to another state.
