In Saharanpur, a police inspector named Naresh Kumar, who was accused of illegally transferring 49 bighas of land owned by a mining mafia to his wife's name, has been dismissed from service. The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Saharanpur, Ajay Sahni, took action after an official inquiry found Kumar guilty of misusing his position.
