Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) inspector Sunil Kumar died from injuries sustained in an encounter with a wanted criminal in the Jhinjhina area of Shamli district. The criminal and three associates were killed in the encounter. Kumar was initially admitted to a hospital in Haryana before being moved to Medanta hospital in Gurugram. He succumbed to his injuries during surgery.
