💨 Abstract
A woman named Malti Devi (30) drowned during the Chhath festival while bathing at an unauthorized location, Obra Dam in Sonbhadra, UP. She was from Bagbaisa village and was participating in the 'Kharna' ritual. Police and local authorities have deployed patrols and issued safety advisories to prevent further accidents. The area near the dam is not designated for Chhath puja rituals.
