In Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, a woman named Jigra was arrested for allegedly pelting stones at police during the violence that erupted on November 24, 2022. The violence, which resulted in four deaths and injuries to several people, including security personnel, occurred when locals clashed with police over a court-ordered survey of the Shahi Jama Masjid following a petition claiming a Harihar temple previously existed at the site.
