đź’¨ Abstract
The Uttar Pradesh State Women Commission has proposed to safeguard women from unwanted advances by suggesting that only female tailors should measure clothes for women and female barbers should attend to female customers in salons. This is to prevent potential molestation, as commission chairperson Babita Chauhan believes men in these professions may have ill intentions. The proposal is yet to be turned into law.
