💨 Abstract
A suspension footbridge in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, built six decades ago to connect over 14 villages, has been declared unsafe. The bridge, which links nearby villages to the Batote-Kishtwar national highway, is used by over 3,000 people daily, including schoolchildren. The Public Works Department has banned the crossing of goods-carrying mules and the movement of more than two persons due to its unsafe condition.
