💨 Abstract

India aims to achieve 100% detection of all severe weather events at village and household levels by 2047, with a goal of zero deaths from such events. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) plans to enhance observational systems and use remote-sensing technologies to achieve this. The vision also includes providing impact-based forecasts and risk-based warnings.
