BSP President Mayawati appealed to voters in Jammu and Kashmir to cast their votes in the third and final phase of the assembly elections, stating it was crucial to ensure the right people come to power. The elections, held after almost a decade, are the first since the abrogation of Article 370. The appeal was made on X in Hindi, and voting took place for 40 seats across seven districts, including Jammu.
