Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk and supporters have been on a six-day hunger strike at Delhi’s Ladakh Bhawan, demanding the inclusion of Ladakh in the sixth schedule of the Constitution and seeking a meeting with top leaders, including PM Modi. They are also demanding statehood, a public service commission for Ladakh, and separate Lok Sabha seats for Leh and Kargil districts.
