💨 Abstract

In Wayanad, Kerala, emotional reunions occurred at polling stations during a by-election, where landslide survivors, affected in July, cast their votes. Survivors, who had been separated since the disaster, expressed joy and sorrow, recalling their communal festivities before the landslides. Over 200 people were killed, and survivors have been temporarily relocated. A special free vehicle service was provided to facilitate their voting.
