💨 Abstract
The Supreme Court on Thursday asked the Center to address the grievances of farmers protesting over demands such as a legal guarantee for minimum support prices (MSP). The court inquired why the government couldn't publicly state it was open to discussions and consider genuine farmer demands. The petitioner requested implementation of a 2021 proposal made to the farmers after the farm laws were repealed, which included a legal MSP guarantee.
