💨 Abstract
Swamy Shraddananda, jailed for 30 years for murdering his wife, has appealed to the Supreme Court to review his mercy plea before the President in December 2023. Shraddananda claims he has spent 30 years in jail without any parole or remission and seeks a direction to the authorities to decide his mercy petition. The Supreme Court will hear the plea next week.
