Two women, Kavita and Gunja, tired of domestic abuse from their alcoholic husbands, married each other at a Shiva Temple in Deoria, Gorakhpur. They connected on Instagram and sought solace in each other's similar circumstances. After performing traditional rituals, they plan to live and work together in Gorakhpur. The temple priest confirmed the low-key ceremony.
