💨 Abstract
A workshop on the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) was held in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, where representatives from social organizations and senior police officials discussed its provisions and legal aspects. The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Nivedita Kukreti, presented on the legal aspects of UCC, including marriage, divorce, will, live-in relationships, and mandatory registration. Penal consequences of violating the code were also discussed.
