💨 Abstract
The author and colleague Sagrika journeyed to Poonch district, Jammu, to cover the India-Pakistan conflict after the Pahalgam terror attack. Their 18-20-hour drive ended in near-misses with shelling and a night spent in a basement among frightened civilians in Surankote. The next day, they briefly entered Poonch city for interviews but were forced to flee as shelling resumed.
