💨 Abstract
In 2025, India saw a significant increase in the disposal rate of POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) cases, reaching 109%, surpassing the number of cases registered for the first time. This indicates that courts not only handled new cases but also cleared some backlog from previous years. The report by the Centre for Legal Action and Behaviour Change for Children (C-LAB) highlights improved responsiveness in handling POCSO cases.
