💨 Abstract
Following a ceasefire on May 10, 2025, India and Pakistan maintained a fragile peace after India launched Operation Sindoor, retaliating for a terrorist attack in Pahalgam. This operation was unprecedented, demonstrating India’s strategic autonomy and willingness to act unilaterally against Pakistan-backed terrorism. Despite Pakistan's attempts to frame its counter-response as a religious-ideological battle, India’s precise strikes and religious counter-narratives undermined Pakistan's defenses and international support.
