💨 Abstract

Poet Sandhyakaranandin equates the two by using the Sanskrit term jyeha, meaning both “eldest” and “best” in the case of Ramapala. He also equated the king with the god’s felicitous similarity to Rama’s name. The poet's only surviving work is the Ramacharitam.
