💨 Abstract
Uttarakhand will enact a Uniform Civil Code on January 26, making it the second state in India to do so, following Goa. The code will cover all residents of the state, with exceptions for Hindu men in areas such as remarriage and divorce. This is a significant step towards the BJP's goal of implementing a nationwide Uniform Civil Code.
