💨 Abstract
In post-independent India, Bodh Gaya, the site of Buddha's enlightenment, was strategically leveraged to strengthen India's cultural ties with Asian countries having Buddhist populations. Nehru and the Bihar government collaborated to promote tourism and development in the region. The Maha Bodhi Society played a significant role in reviving pan-Asian Buddhism.
