During the state funeral of former prime minister Manmohan Singh, the Congress party criticized the government for a "shocking display of disrespect and mismanagement." The party alleged that only Doordarshan cameras were allowed to cover the event, resulting in limited visibility of Congress leaders. They also accused the government of providing inadequate space for Singh's family members, disrupting the funeral procession, and keeping the public out.
