💨 Abstract

In the recently concluded Haryana assembly elections, the BJP won a majority despite the influential Dera Sacha Sauda leader, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, being released multiple times in the past two years. However, the Dera, which has a significant following in Haryana, did not significantly impact voting patterns due to caste-based voting patterns.
