💨 Abstract

In Punjab, the positions of Sarpanch (village head) are being auctioned off for crores of rupees in Gurdaspur, Muktsar, and Bathinda districts. Atma Singh of the BJP bid 2 crores for a Sarpanch position in Hardowal Kalan, while in Kot Bhara village in Bathinda, Manpreet Singh bought the position for 30 lakhs.
