💨 Abstract

Jayant Vishnu Narlikar, a renowned astrophysicist, passed away at 86. His contributions to astrophysics include developing the Steady State Theory of the universe, co-developing the Hoyle–Narlikar theory of gravity, and founding the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA) in India.
