India submitted a letter of intent to host the 2036 Olympic Games, initiating a challenging journey to join a select few Asian countries hosting the event. However, the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) was marred by internal bickering and turf wars, with a spat over the appointment of a CEO. The IOC suspended the Olympic Solidarity grant to the IOA due to the ongoing conflict within the organization.
