At the ISSF Junior World Cup in Suhl, Germany, India's Adriyan Karmakar won a silver medal in the 50m prone rifle event, scoring 626.7. The 20-year-old narrowly missed the gold by 0.3 points to Sweden's Jesper Johansson. This was Karmakar's debut in the World Cup and he set a new junior national record.
