In the third and final One Day International in Abu Dhabi, Ireland defeated a depleted South Africa by 69 runs, claiming some consolation in a series they lost 2-1. Ireland, electing to bat first, scored 284 for 9, with opener Paul Stirling scoring 88. South Africa battled but were bowled out for 215, with Lizaad Williams taking 4-56.
