In the Tata Steel Chess Tournament, World champion D Gukesh drew with Slovenia's Vladimir Fedoseev, while Leon Luke Mendonca suffered his second consecutive loss against Uzbekistan's Nodirbek Abdusattorov. Mendonca played the French defense and was out-calculated by Abdusattorov, who scored his first victory.
