💨 Abstract

Grandmaster D Gukesh, the world chess champion, will start his first major tournament since winning the title at Tata Steel Chess in The Netherlands. Five Indians are participating in the event, with Arjun Erigaisi being the highest-rated. The 14-player, 13-round event will also see R Praggnanandhaa, P Harikrishna, and Leon Luke Mendonca.
