The ICC, along with India, Australia, and England, is considering a two-tier Test system to boost series between top nations. The new system, if implemented after 2027, would facilitate more matches among the big three. However, opposition has been raised by cricket boards of Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, and previously by BCCI, due to concerns about revenue decrease and opportunities for smaller nations.
