In the FIDE World Women’s Chess Cup in Batumi, Georgia, K Priyanka, a Woman International Master from India, defeated Zsoka Gaal of Hungary in the first-round tiebreaker, advancing to the round of 64. After losing the first classical game, Priyanka won the tiebreaker blitz games. Nine Indian women are participating, with four proceeding directly to the second round.
